After two complicated years at Bayern Munich, Tanguy Kouassi joined Sevilla FC this summer. In an interview with L’Équipe, the former PSG defender returned to his turbulent start to his career and the choices he made, evoking no regrets.
You have not signed at PSG. Do you regret this choice?
“I had no regrets. If I have regrets, it means that at the time, I was not 100% sure of my choice. It wasn’t, I was sure. My choices, I assume them. »
But this project, with playing time, you had it with Paris. Did you hesitate?
“I had a call with coach Tuchel. It really touched me. He asked me to stay. But the choice was already made. There was also an element, it was that we did not know if he was going to stay. We all heard that he was in the hot seat. There was less visibility, less stability. »
Can PSG supporters hope to see you again in this jersey one day?
“For a Parisian child, it’s always a goal. It’s up to me to progress, to one day reach the level of Paris. »
