The prefect of the Territoire de Belfort, Raphaël Sodini, signed a new decree on Wednesday concerning the level of vigilance in terms of water in the Territoire de Belfort. The department descends from the “crisis” level to that of “enhanced vigilance”.

Many bans, however, remain in force, starting with the ban on washing vehicles, except in low-efficiency stations (high pressure and water recycling device). Unless waived, the washing of roofs, terraces and facades remains prohibited. It is forbidden to water the gardens (with the exception of vegetable patches and young shrubs between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.).

On the other hand, due to recent rains, the decree restricting the use of fire has been lifted in the Territoire de Belfort.

The low water level of the rivers remains low: 5,000 m³ per day in the Savoureuse aquifer at Valdoie. The flow of the Doubs at Mathay is only 10 m³ per second.

About 80 mm of water fell on the Territoire de Belfort in September.
